Has Lady Gaga Lost Her Mind?

Okay, we love Lady Gaga, her edgy style, her catch and raspy songs, her bondage ensembles... wait, bondage ensembles???

Well, that's exactly what Lady Gaga had on in Malta at a press conference for the Isle of MTV Malta Special where she also performed.

The audience went to total and complete silence when they saw Lady Gaga emerge in a knee long studded black leather dress and a gimp/psycho mask covering her entire face included her eyes and lips. Her hair was done exactly like Marilyn Monroe.

We are pretty sure this one will land her on the worse dress list, but as she addressed the media, we realized this was not a joke. She was serious. Our thoughts is that maybe the outfit represented her need for privacy? we know, it's a long shot, but she did tell media that night:

"My concerts are about me being very private in public, but I’m very protective. My apartment is my stage, and my bedroom is my stage – they’re just not stages you’re allowed to see. When you let a bunch of people in there, they [mess] with that energy and it becomes a circus. Put it another way: Everybody wants me to show my [privates] to the world all the time. And the truth is, I don’t have to.”

How Important Are Celebrity Endorsed Fashions To Consumers?

Heat Magazine writer Bronagh Meere wrote an article recently that made us think deeply about the importance of celebrity endorsements and how important they are to consumers today, especially women.

When picking up a fashion magazine, or looking in the latest Us Weekly or People Style Watch, how influential are the celebrities on the clothing women buy when they go to the stores after they put the magazine down?

According to Meere, the importance of celebrity endorsed fashion for women is more important than any of us could have thought:

"A lot of women want a piece of the celebrity lifestyle and being able to dress like one fulfils a bit of this need."

Special K also did research on the topic and concluded that women will go to amazing lengths to ensure that they look like celebrities and fit into their summer clothing.

Another interesting finding was that women shop online often to help eliminate the guilt when shopping in stores.

Miley Reveals Clothing Line Secrets To Elle Magazine

Earlier this month in our article Miley Cyrus Launching Her Own Clothing line we discussed the stars plans to partner with designer Max Azira and release a rock star line sold in Wal-Mart stores across the nation.

Recently, Elle magazine interviewed the start and revealed a few more details about her new line. Miley told Elle:

"The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line. Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available."

This will be every parents and little girl’s dream has come true because they'll be able to look like a rock star at affordable prices that are hip and stylish. The jury is still out on the quality of the line, but if it’s anything reflective of Miley, it'll be great. By the way... do you see Miley in the Elle photo shot by Carter Smith? Stunning! She's growing up faster and faster each day.

One thing about the fashion industry that everyone knows, if you want to be taken seriously, you have to pay your dues. We all know Kanye West is passionate about fashion, but his latest stunt makes us look up to him just a little more.
