Celebrity Designer Goes Poppy For Coach



Need your celebrity designer fix for the week? How about Michelle Trachtenberg from Gossip Girl. The star has joined forceds with Coach to design a costume jewelry line for Coach's Poppy label.

The latest star to join the club is Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg. She is teaming up with Coach to design a costume jewelry line under its Poppy label — faux pearls and colorful crystals hit stores in the Spring.


Poppy hit the stores this Spring and is Coach's answer to recessionista's because it's their first budget friendly line. Poppy is fresh, colorful and fun and features tiara's, jewelry, eyewear, watches, bags and more.

Khloe Kardashian's Hubby New Fashion Line


Yes.... another celebrity fashion line.  As if there wasn't enough of them.  Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian's new hubyy nand Laker's start has created a new fashion which debuted Kitson LA on Wednesy Night. 

The new line, Rich Soil Clothing, is a representation of hip hop, fashion, and graphic tees. According to Khloe: 

 “I love anyone that’s creative and that takes the risk on designing anything on their own. I mean I’m into fashion, I own clothing stores so I love that he takes part in fashion too, it’s something that we have in common.”

According to Lamar: 

“I came up with mostly ideas, I have some graphic designers that I work with — my close friend Jonathan Garcia, and he understood my vision right from the door and that’s why we are here tonight."

Lohan's Shoe-Han


This Mother's Day watch out as Dina Lohan releases her new shoe line, Shoe-han which will debut in stores. The new shoe line is said to be affordable and a partnership between Dina and "I Love My Shoes."

Although Dina will not be designing, she'll have major influence over every aspect of the design, marketing, and implementation processes. Including a radio and TV commercial currently being casted.

The new line is soon to be announced by Dina in a press conference, and according to "I Love My Shoes" President, "She may not be followed as a fashionista but if the shoes are designed right and priced under $100...they will sell."

Real Housewives Atlanta Challenge Fashion Walk Off

The addictive series, Housewives, is at battle again. Only this time, it’s not within the show.

On Thursday, The Real Housewives of Atlanta announced that their “best-dressed” housewife, Lisa, is rising against Sheree’s She by Sheree fashion label by creating her own fashion collection.

Lisa, though winner of best dressed, is not necessarily a great dresser. So, it’s valid to assume that this fashion walk off is not going to be much of an eye opener. In fact, it may be an eye shutter.

And yet, it seems like the public is still voting for Lisa. Sheree has been punching out launch dates for what seems like decades, leaving us wondering if she’s totally confused or just weak for attention.

I guess even with hoards of free money, you still can’t buy yourself fashion sense.

Sasha Fierce Comes To Stores


Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce, is coming to a Macy's, Jimmy Jazz, Against All Odds, and Dillard's near you. It's been announced that the singer, who was just named the wealthiest celebrity under 30 by Forbes, will be partnerin with her Mom Tina and launching the Sasha Fierce fashion line under Dereon.

The new line will be priced between $20 to $125 and launched right before school begins. According to Tina, the new line is for juniors only and is "edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude."

Outerwear, sportwear, lingerie, handbags, shoes, jewelry and eye wear will all be included in their line. According to Beyonce, "There is a little Sasha Fierce in every girl!"

Jennifer Lopez Kisses Sweetface Goodbye


Celebrity clothing lines come and go, and the new one to hit the dust is Jennifer Lopez's clothing line, Sweetface; not that that was a surprise.

Close your eyes and go back to New York Fashion Week in 2001... remember her line JLO that launched that had everyone buzzing for about 11 minutes and then nothing ever happened after that? After struggling for a few years JLO shut down in 2007.

Okay... now rewind from 2007 to 2003, Sweetface was launched as a urban spin off of JLO. Wait. We missed one, okay, go back to the end of 2007, she launches justsweet which also closed after a few seasons.


Confusing? Exactly, which is why it's no surprise that Sweetface is shutting down now. But let's do give Jennifer some credit. According to New York Fashion, she pulled $200 million in 2006; even if that was short lived.

Jennifer plans to relaunch the line in the near future. But don't feel too bad for her, the woman is a business mogul with over 38 franchise stores in 40 countries, restaurants, perfume, and movies.

She'll be just fine; and sometimes, even the best of us fail, it makes us stronger and life more interesting.

Daddy's Girls Take Macy's By Storm


Vanessa and Angela Simmons are releasing a new line called Pastry Capsule taking the girls from footwear to reality TV to fashion.

Vanessa and Angela recently put on a special runway show for Macy's to introduce the new looks, more will be seen on the new season of Daddy's Girls, which should be an interesting season...

The new season of Daddy's Girl will have a few twist including the fact that:

  • Vanessa is seriously pursuing her acting career and is leaving Angela to work harder to establish the new line
  • Angela trying to get out of her sisters shadow and take her fashion image to the next level
  • Vanessa making Los Angeles her permanent home and securing a number of roles including Boogie Town

Remember our last post... Harry Potter Star Turns Fashionista? Well, we obviously must have had some psychic abilities going on because Emma Watson has really taken her place in the world of celebrity fashion using two little marketing tactics... endorsements and a clothing line.

Everyone knows that when a celebrity wants to become a fashion icon or taken seriously when it comes to style, they want to be the face of a major brand and they want their own clothing line, well, Emma Watson has gotten both.

Not only will she be the new face of Burberry but she's launching her own clothing line and all the proceeds will be going to charity. Emma's new line will be for teenagers and proceeds will go to UNICEF. And additional buzz has the star taking advice from Karl Lagerfeld to make sure her line doesn't fall into the typical celebrity fashion line category.

Courtney Love's New Fashion Line



Recently a new article was posted about the Worst Celebrity Fashion Designers over at film.com. Definitely a story worth reading... however, the article reminded us that Courtney Love's new Fashion Line should be coming out soon.

Everyone gets a chance, but from the recent Celebrity Fashion Lines, Courtney will have to really put out something great to prove herself. Courtney's line will include ""cotton ribbed body suits, cashmere harem pants and a ruby stitched into every outfit,” according to British magazine Grazia.

However, recent news says Courtney love is actually over her head in credit card debt (She was sued by American Express for $352,059.67). Is the line a desperate attempt to raise capital or is a true passion of Courtney's?

As usual, Courtney's people are denying the claim and saying that someone else took out the cards under Courtney's name and that Amex allowed it to happen.
